3 Tips To Get UNSTUCK From A Fat Loss Plateau
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010We all get stuck from time to time. Here are three tips to blast through a fat loss plateau:
#1: Weigh and measure all your food any time you feel you’re stuck at a plateau, just to be sure and remove ALL of the guesswork. When your calorie expenditure is on the low side, you don’t have much margin for error. One extra Starbucks Latte, choclate chip muffin or handful of cookies and SHAZAM, your little 20% calorie deficit is GONE!
#2: Remember what the Scale tells you can be very different from your actual body fat percentage. My best advice is to judge your progress on body composition not what the scale tells you.
#3: Keep Track! Keep a weekly progress chart for weight, body fat percentage, pounds of fat and pounds of lean body mass. Water weight and lean body mass gains can mask fat loss so it’s possible to make progress even though the scale isn’t moving. Pay special attention to the progress trend over time.
