Finding the Perfect Jewelry

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

For mother’s day, I wanted to get something really special for my mom this year. I was thinking about getting her jewelry, so I stopped by one of the local jewelry stores. I was overwhelmed by all of the beautiful pieces of jewelry, but I particularly liked the mothers bracelets that they carried. My mom loves to wear bracelets, so I thought this would be perfect for her. I ended up buying one for her and she absolutely loved it. Despite it’s delicate appearance, it is actually really sturdy. It looks even more gorgeous on her wrist than it did in the box

Candle holders in a garden wedding reception

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

If you are having an outdoor wedding it would be nice if you place attractive colorful chunky candle in hurricane lantern. You can arrange it according to the location or theme of the wedding. You can sprinkle it with pile of sand in the center and scatter the hurricane into it. You can finish it off with assortments of sand dollars, shell, coral and star fish arranged beautifully around the base of the lantern. For rustic weddings you use candle as centrepieces. If you want to know how to do it you can Click HERE and learn more about it.

NFL Lineman Can Dance Too

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

Dancing with the Stars on ABC has become a smash hit all over the world. It is on a primetime slot and showcases some of the world’s celebrities. I find it funny with some of their selections though. Warren Sapp? What was a three hundred and fifty pound NFL linemen in dance costumes doing on a dancing show? Over the past few seasons they are getting less and less known celebrities and have to reach for pro sports starts who really should not be dancing. People continue to get injured on this show because they are not dancers and they are thrown into the ring with a pro and they expect them to perform at a one hundred percent level. The show is entertaining to watch though, so that is all that really matters in the end.

What is the Best Singing Program?

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

What are the best learn singing programs for the absolute beginner or more seasoned vocalists?  These days there are a lot to choose from.  The creating of the online market place helped pros market learning programs or write books that can be sold on their websites.  The level of competition does help the aspiring singer because we now have lots of options to learn singing.  Back in the old days I used to go get vocal lessons from a coach near me, but I didn’t have any other choices at the time.  In this sense, technology has helped aspiring musicians like me.  You can always start off with a book too, but it’s not as fun as a coach or a singing game on your computer.

The large city of Osaka

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

Kyushus largest city is Fukuoka with its well-known open-air food stands open at night. Nearby is the eye-catching island of Miyajima, where the notable torii accompanies Itsukushima Shrine in the ocean at high tide. World War II history makes famous the city of Hiroshima; a peace park and memorial commemorate the atomic bomb and its negative effects. Nara, the first permanent capital of Japan, contains the UNESCO World Heritage site of the temple named Horiyuji. The large city of Osaka is economically strong, evidenced by the Rocket Japanese Minami shopping and brilliantly colored entertainment district. The well-preserved and reconstructed history of Japans former capital, Kyoto, leads vacationers to structures such as the Kyoto Imperial Palace and Kinkakuji, and the garden/villa completed in 1645, called Katsura Rikyu.

Experiencing Myself Through Decoupage

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

I have to do a creative art project for my self-awareness class. I have been attending for three months and our sessions are winding down now. My project is to represent what I have learned about myself during this time. I have decided to do a Decoupage with overlapping pictures of who I see myself to be as a person. I have already picked up the Decoupage paper at the craft store and am starting to collect my pictures as I collect my thoughts. I think this will be a wonderful way for me to demonstrate the growth I have experienced in this process.

Love Affair with My Audience

Monday, November 9th, 2009

I’m rather shy by nature, that is until I get up in front of an audience. Suddenly I am someone else, someone who is confident and powerful and exciting. I decided a year ago that I prefer being up in front of people than just being one of the crowd. As a result of my decision, I have been forming the best female group of musicians that I can put together. It has not been easy, but it has been so worth it. I now have fellow performers to share this incredible energy with, and I love seeing the excitement radiate back from the audience. It is a love affair that I hope never ends.

Where the roots want to sprout

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

This will keep the tree from moving and damaging its delicate roots. Unwrap the plastic and without disturbing the roots, plant your new tree, adding additional soil as needed. Partially fill the container with top soil. Place small pebbles for drainage in the bottom of a pot. After several weeks, you should see roots through the plastic. Dust the top cut with rooting hormone. The bark should peel off fairly easily. Peel off the bark between the first two bonsai tree for sale cuts. This cut should connect the first two cuts. Make this about two branch widths below the first cut. Make a circular cut through the bark and into the hardwood underneath. Cut around the branch where you want roots to sprout. Select a branch with a pleasing shape and structure. Try making bonsai with plants native to your area.

Singing Like the Pros

Monday, October 26th, 2009

I think it was back in late 2003 that I lost my voice for the last time.  I was having such a hard time keeping my voice through an entire set that I almost gave up on singing.  Another problem I had at the time was getting my words to come through clear.  I had this issue to slurring my words together so that nobody could understand what I was saying.  However, I eventually wanted to learn how to sing clearer and got a vocal coach.  My coach showed me some tricks that have changed the way that I sing forever.
