White Church Steeples in Autumn…

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

I love Autumn, I really do. It’s a fleeting moment in time where the combination of suddenly crisp air and the whiff of baking apples, the grade school hand-traced turkeys on the fridge, weekend drives in the north country for tricolor corn and fat pumpkins, white church steeples framed by a rainbow of orange, gold, and burgundy, bags of bite sized candy bars that you aren’t supposed to touch for weeks but do anyway, the comfort of warm socks and hot cider, football (finally!), and even the first sniffles of a cold red nose make me glad to be alive. Almost takes the sting out of Summer ending.

With the way that the economy is dragging along, its no wonder why music and video sales are dropping. On the other hand, software applications such as Ares are booming and gaining continuous support because it is economically sound. Music Videos At The Annual Banquet

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

We’ve arranged to have some cool stuff going on during the reception before our annual banquet. We’ll have HD monitors positioned around the room, streaming music videos, along with live interviews of people entering the hall, funny little clips and some other material we’re preparing ahead of time. We’re really trying to give the thing a feel of a professional awards program of some sort. Our honorees work hard all year and it’s important to make it a really special evening for them.

We’ll do a test run the first night of the conference at the chairman’s dinner since it’s a smaller group and we can shake the bugs out. Ought to be cool!

Bad wedding magician

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Nine months ago a I saw a wedding magician at my best friends wedding. He was great and I was so taken upon the idea I decided to do the same for my wedding. Unfortunately it backfired. Thinking about my budget I went for the cheapest  on the market. Big error. He was terrible and we all practically worked out all his tricks as he messed them all up most of the time. Lesson learnt. Never, ever, just choose an entertainer by the price they charge. Read testimonials and, if possible, see them in action before making your choice. I wish I’d hired my best friends magician but he had moved abroad.

Do You Use Thank You Poems?

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

I know that I myself is not really great at writing poetry. I am kind of mad about it because I find poetry to be very beautiful. I wish I could even write thank you poems because that is a great topic to write about. Telling people thank you is a real important thing to say. When someone does a good deed or even just helps you out a little bit, they deserve to be told thank you. Maybe you would love to write them a poem but you are not really great at it. You should go online and look for them.

Chinese Language Disappearing in Singapore

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Lately a lot of importance is being given to the speaking of (Mandarin) Chinese throughout the world especially in America. However Singapore seems to be following an opposite pattern. Instead of Mandarin finding more acceptance among the youth, it is being disregarded and even ignored. Many reasons have been sighted for this. Singaporean youngsters primarily identify with the already popular English while generally regarding Chinese as being a lot harder than its rival. Rocket Chinese reviews In a way they are not wrong.
