The advertising supervisor supervises the creative specifications of an ad and notifies the client about the designs of any necessary revisions. They also test and troubleshoot new creative work with and internal resources to resolve any issues. The typical advertising supervisor also supervises the status of all campaigns prior to end date to ensure fulfillment. The advertising supervisor initiates and plans PR campaigns, analyses the problems, and opportunities. They also check and edit press releases, in-house newsletters, speeches, articles, and annual reports. Advertising supervisors have to maintain and update information the company’s website. Those applying for the post of the advertising supervisor should at least be a graduate in advertising or public relations. He or she should be adept in reading and writing professionally and of a good standard. About 6-8 years experience in the field is a must for the post.
