Pay it forward
Thursday, November 25th, 2010
The expression “pay it forward” is used to describe the concept of asking that a good turn be repaid by having it done to others instead. Way back in grade school, we are always taught to be attentive wherever we are for opportunities to help someone. This can be done by helping an elderly or disabled neighbor who is too proud to ask for help with their yard work. Another situation can be for instance, we are in a restaurant and see someone who looks like they could use some kind stranger to pay for their meal. We can change people’s attitudes about the world through our acts of kindness. So when one offers you silver dollar coins as gifts, you can pay it forward by giving to another in gratefulness for one kind act.
