Why need epilepsy research in Europe?
epilepsy research in Europe is really needed. That is because there are already 6 million people that are suffering from epilepsy and as the World Health Organization estimates, at least 20 billion Euros is needed for it. Epilepsy research is also very needed because of the stigma that comes with epilepsy that makes people with epilepsy treated with discrimination. Another reason is that 58% of the European countries do not have an epilepsy surgery programme that makes it harder for people with epilepsy to get treated as they are only limited to get treated with treatments expect surgery and 90% of people with epilepsy in Europe do not get necessary treatment.
