Causes of Diabetic foot

When you have diabetes, you are aware of the complications that may alter the body’s function. One of the complications is diabetic foot. When you have a diabetic foot, it can get serious without even knowing it. They get serious as they can eventually lead to an amputation or loss of limb. This loss of limb may affect psychological well being, quality of life and health issues. The reason that the diabetic foot is at such a risk is that diabetes affects the nerves. Meaning, the damage can happen and you cannot eventually feel it since the circulation and healing is affected. So when damage does happen, it does not heal very well. Those with diabetes also have stiffer joint, tend to be overweight and may have poor vision that may lead them to self care deficit.
