A Valuable Lesson Learned
My mother was always a very lenient parent when I was growing up. I was allowed to choose the outfits that I wanted to wear to school. Many of my friends were very jealous of me because their mother would not allow them to choose their clothing. My mother would frequently play Dress Up Games with me. This was her way of ensuring that I knew what was appropriate clothing for a child of my age. I am very grateful to my mother for believing in my judgement. I now play the same games with my daughter that my mother played with me.
