Abandoned Vehicles
My husband works for an auto repair shop in a depressed portion of our city. People often come in to have their car looked at, authorize repairs and then disappear, never to be heard from again. My husband’s boss has to wait a minimum of thirty days and then he can request a title for the vehicle so he can sell or dispose of it. Some of the cars that are left at his shop amaze me as they are in very good condition. Even with the cost of the repair, the car is still worth a great deal. Yet, people just leave them. My husband’s boss is looking for discount carports to store these cars under. He’s counting on a profit from selling these vehicles as the repair portion of the business is not doing well.
